About the Erihana Collection
The Erihana Collection covers diverse Dyed Textiles(about 20,000 pieces) that would include Yuzen and Aizome Indigo dyeing techniques from the Kaga province of the Hokuriku region, from the Edo (1603-1868) to early Showa (1925-1945) periods. These dyed textiles were made, distributed, and used daily by the masses in the Kaga area, and you will see dyeing and weaving techniques such as Yuzen,also kanazawa’s design and style.
